Department of Kriya Sharir (Physiology)
“The Science of Living Functions”
While many sciences look at the body as a machine, the Department of Kriya Sharir teaches students to view the body as a dynamic, living entity governed by biological rhythms and energies. This department bridges the gap between traditional Ayurvedic concepts and modern human physiology.
- The Tridosha Theory: Students delve deep into the study of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. They learn how these three bio-energies govern every movement, transformation, and stability within the human frame.
- Dhatu and Mala Vigyan: The curriculum covers the seven Dhatus (tissues) and the process of nutrition (Ahara Paka), alongside the importance of Malas (waste products) in maintaining health.
- Prakriti Analysis: One of the most unique aspects of this department is teaching students how to identify an individual’s Prakriti (constitution). This allows for truly personalized medicine, a hallmark of the Ayurvedic system.
- Modern Integration: We complement these ancient views with contemporary hematology, cardiovascular studies, and digestive physiology, ensuring our students are well-versed in modern medical terminology and diagnostic parameters.
Vision and Mission
Vision
To redefine the understanding of human life by integrating the bio-energetic principles of Tridosha with contemporary physiological sciences, fostering a holistic approach to human health and constitutional assessment.
Mission
- Prakriti Analysis: To train students in the precise art of Deha-Prakriti (Physical Constitution) and Manasa-Prakriti (Mental Constitution) for personalized healthcare.
- Functional Integration: To bridge the gap between ancient concepts of Dhatu (Tissues) and Mala (Metabolic waste) with modern hematological and biochemical parameters.
- Laboratory Expertise: To provide hands-on experience in modern diagnostic tools while maintaining the core focus on Ayurvedic biological rhythms and homeostasis.
